Ivica Ratosa

Course Director

Assistant Professor Ivica Ratosa, MD, PhD, works in breast cancer radiotherapy unit and is a member of the multidisciplinary breast team. Her main areas of interest and research include radiotherapy techniques, oligometastatic breast cancer, stereotactic body radiotherapy, non-invasive cardiac radioablation, and financial toxicity of patients with cancer. She is an assitant professor at the Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana and member of ESTRO Guidelines Sub-Group on Breast, EORTC Breast cancer and Quality of Life groups.

Shaleena Chooromoney

Course Director

Dr Shaleena Chooromoney is Consultant in Charge at the department of Clinical and Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Centre, Victoria Hospital, Mauritius. She completed her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical college, Delhi University, India, and received her postgraduate degree in Radiotherapy and Radiation Medicine from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She has been serving the Government of Mauritius since 1997 and has been in the field of Oncology for the last 20 years. Apart from being the Coordinator of the National Cancer Control Programme 2022-2025 and a member of the National Cancer registry committee, she has been nominated as the IAEA project counterpart in Mauritius for ongoing national as well as AFRA projects. She was given the responsibility of setting up the National Cancer centre in Mauritius where she was given the opportunity of sharing her expertise and supervising the operationalization of the centre She has special interest in gynecological malignancies and breast cancer amongst other. She is a board member sitting on different medical boards like occupational, pharmacy, and overseas board, held under the Ministry of Health & Wellness. She is amongst the consultants who have started and developed the first multidisciplinary tumour board to streamline patient treatment and follow up care in Mauritius. Along with the clinical and administrative work, she is involved in cancer awareness dissemination through mass media in Mauritius.

Timothy Collen

Course Co-director

Dr. Timothy D. Collen is a german citizen with his parents coming from Turkey and Mauritius. He studied in Ulm/Germany, moved to Switzerland in 1996 and started his career in radiation oncology in 2000. He obtained his specialization in 2003 and is today an experienced radiation oncologist and head of the department of radiation oncology in Switzerland (Zug). He absolved postgraduate studies in management and applied ethics. His major focus is breast cancer, gynecological malignancies and urooncological malignancies. Dr. Collen is member of the editorial board (Schweizer Zeitschrift für Onkologie) and has an expert role in auditing cancer centers on behalf of the German Cancer Society (DKG). He is co-founder of a company dealing with digital transformation and process optimization. He is strongly committed to an altruistic approach in life. He is married and father of 5 children living in Switzerland.

Patricia Frrokaj

I am Dr. med. Patricia Frrokaj, resident physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. I completed my medical studies at the University of Prishtina in Kosovo and gained initial clinical experience as general practitioner in my home country before beginning my residency in Switzerland. I am passionate about advancing equitable access to high-quality cancer care through education, collaboration, and global engagement. Since February 2025, I have been part of the BrachyTerra team, supporting its mission to promote knowledge-sharing and strengthen gynecologic brachytherapy in regions with limited resources.

Primoz Petric

BrachyTerra Founder and Program Director

I founded BrachyTerra. I am Radiation Oncologist at the Cantonal Hospital of Luzern / Zug, and Hon. Assoc. Prof. at the Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark. From 2009-2022 I was teaching at the ESTRO course on gynaecological cancer. I teach at other events, including IAEA courses and several workshops. I am member of Gyn GEC ESTRO Working Group and EMBRACE study group. I am principal investigator of the EMBRACE III Rewind Study. I was consultant to the ICRU 89 Report, and authored many scientific works, book chapters, guidelines, and conference lectures.
